MobiBench is an advanced tool developed within the EU-funded MobiSpaces project. This is a cutting-edge benchmarking tool designed to evaluate software and hardware systems that process mobility data. MobiBench addresses key challenges like energy efficiency and low-latency data processing, supporting smarter urban planning, public transport systems, and maritime tracking.
It works focusing on data from urban and maritime domains, then it optimises the performance of data processing, such as vehicles’ and vessels’ location data, so as to ensure that transportation systems are efficient, secure, and sustainable. The Data Science Lab of the University of Piraeus Research Center took the lead in this development.
MobiBench matches perfectly with the rise of smart cities and interconnected mobility networks. MobiBench analyses real-time data from various transportation systems.
